Ironman Lanzarote – 23rd May 09 (Page 3)

Ironman Lanzarote – 23rd May 09 (Page 3)

I had an idea of the pace I wanted to keep but I was determined to ignore my watch until I had settled in to an easy pace. I went off forcing myself to be patient. I have worked hard on my running over the winter and I felt good. The first two laps were just about telling myself to ease off any time I was tempted to speed up and try to get things finished as soon as possible. I am of the opinion that whatever pace at which you start the marathon things are going to get painful at some point. If they... [Read More]

Davis looked comfortable all the way round, with the Orbea... [Read More]

Tour Down Under – 23rd Jan 09

Tour Down Under – 23rd Jan 09

A belated well done to our aussie cyclist Ian Routledge who popped home for some warm weather training in January and competed in the Tour Down Under race on the 23rd January…completing 155K in a fantastic 5hrs 15mins! When we spoke to Ian after the race he said “The key moments in the ride, was the constant climb all the way to mt pleasant and menglers hill – with a 6km spike of hill, with many walkers or people trying to stand up on bike and blowing there legs!” Queensland’s... [Read More]
